Slab serifs are strong letterforms, often bold and sometimes playful.
You may notice with the start of this project that I’m starting to make the rounds of the most typical versions of typography classifications: serif, san-serif, script, display, and icon/dingbat. So far we had a serif, then a san-serif, and here we’ll have a slab-serif. Ok, technically a slab serif is part of the serif family, but they always looked so different to me that I tend to give them their own space.
