I would only ask that if it is online, to include a link back to this blog, or to my personal site, www.jessicaraydesign.com/

I started theoxhead as a personal project. It sprang up from two distinct things that were said to me.

The first was, “I don’t understand why anyone needs all those fonts.”
Which flabbergasted me completely as a graphic designer.

The second was (I’m paraphrasing this one), “Well, how many different ways can you really write one letter?”
Which intrigued me.

How many ways could I write a letter? Yes, I know there are thousands of fonts out there, but to really push the letter and make each unique? A collaborative could do it easily. But myself? Could I make an entire years worth?

So I found myself compulsively sketching the letter A in as many different ways as possible. Here, for 2014, is an ongoing collection of what I can come up with. I hope you enjoy.

Also, I feel compelled to mention that these all started out as pencil sketches on paper. Any resemblance to a font or logo is unintentional, but with 365 of them, some are bound to look like someone else’s work. I have no doubt at some point one of these may look eerily similar to Star Trek.
